Our Story

Husband and wife team owners Marcus and Rita dreamed of owning an independent boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Columbia with the freedom to craft a guest experience like no other. When that very opportunity presented itself in 2016, they dubbed it their unicorn opportunity because, to them, it was truly that. They believe that the unicorn is a fabulous beast conceived not out of human fear but as a beautiful creation of humankind’s creative, joyful, and ever-powerful imagination.
